I would dare say that Our 11th Annual Buddy Walk 2009 was a huge success! We had over 400 participants with over 100 volunteers. We also had a record breaking donations this year! Well over $26,000.00 were raised. WOW we are so blessed and encouraged by how the community has come together in support for individuals with Down syndrome.
New this year was an online donation site which allowed for those who could not be here with us to donate in honor. Active give raised over $4,000.00!
Our Buddies who raised the most individually are:
1st place Miss Sydney Ebelhar raised $5,760.26
2nd place Terri Mischel $2,305.00
3rd place Chapel Estes$2,065.00
And the Team Trophy went to team Dalton Who brought lots of family, friends teachers and classmates to walk and show support for Dalton Lockhart!
